Good knowledgeable staff and a friendly receptionist, my cats are well looked after here
Cathedral Vers always happy to administer 1st Aid to wildlife so this alone speaks volumes for this veterinary practice. No problem with taking a poorly hedgehog in today and that's great that these vets will at least provide some care and help our wildlife whilst they are in need. I donate to RSPCA but always feel disappointed when calling this organisation (they do great work elsewhere) as get the usual "take it to a vet or shelter". That's ok but in reality for my local area, not many vets will treat or pass sick wildlife to shelters once the injured or sick animal or bird is stable. Cathedral Vets do. I've had a few cats registered here over the years, but this is the first time I've had to take one of them in with a possible serious illness. The Vet, Ian Halliday, diagnosed a likely heart problem, which was the cause of our 8yr old cat retaining fluid. He was booked in the next day to have the fluid drained off, and medication prescribed to him. I was worried about the price of the overall treatment, but told the veterinary nurse what my budget was, and they said they'd keep that in mind, and do just what was necessary to make my cat comfortable.Picked up my cat later that day (I could have picked him up as late at 9pm, which is very handy to know). Really feel happy with this Veterinary Practice :)
These guys are kind of you need your pet taken care of but they are not very transparent with their pet plan. Also don't phone you back when you have a complaint. After 3 years with them they squeezed every penny they could out of me!
Excellent vets, all the staff are lovely especially Mr. Haliday who looks after our Layla.
