Made an impromptu visit last Friday after I found out at short notice that a band I like were playing there. Good food, good beer and a great atmosphere. Fun times were had be everyone I was with.
We always get a friendly welcome and find the staff really helpful. One of our orders was wrong but they sorted it out really quickly. I struggle with some types of drinking glasses and asked if my drink could be tipped into a different glass and that was also done with no problem. We got the lunchtime sandwich, chips snd drink deal - 7.99 which was great value for what we had. I was disappointed that my favourite sandwich wasn't on the current menu. Hopefully it'll be back on the menu next season.
After a poor experience in November, I was invited back to try again. On this occasion the food was served fresh and was delicious. The customer service was outstanding. I've only given 4 stars instead of 5, as they were expecting me to return and pulled all the stops out to impress. I'll see what the experience is like next time.

If I could give 1 star I would. Absolutely dreadful in every way. We went for our Xmas meal and there were 10 of us. Fully aware it being a pub we didn't expect anything to special food wise. But I did not expect it be this bad. Every meal came out at a different time. Ranging from 45 minutes to nearly 2 hours. So we all ate at different times. The food was less than average so not worth the wait. It was a Sunday late afternoon and was dead in there. That should have been an indication of the place. And not even so much as an apology from the staff . Will never be going in there again.
