Nice traditional pub, lots of seating and nice beer garden (complete with a basket of blankets for when the temperature drops which is a nice touch)
Now this is a proper pub! The beer seems to just taste better because the atmosphere. The service is great and the food is definitely worth having a bite of. This is a fantastic place to just sit and enjoy good conversation.
Great food, great selection of ales and beers, friendly, helpful staff - everything you want from a good pub.We booked ahead as one of my kids has allergies. With less than a days notice we arrived to a specially marked-up menu for my son, showing which items he could order and adaptations to many of those he couldn't.It was such a lovely change for him, to feel special, rather than limited. Puddings are especially a problem, usually but the pub kitchen had even prepared some special dessert options just for him.A lovely touch to a great meal.
