Amazing for breakfast, brunch, lunch and scones. Very friendly staff, nice location by the waterfront. I've been coming here for around 8 years on and off and never been disappointed.
Lovely place id recommend for tea lovers. Staff are amazing lovely and friendly. Selection of hundreds of teas of all tastes. Good food available. Prices are high but not to expensive. Tea was 3.50 but got as many top ups with hot water as i liked. The location is beautiful over looking the river. Worth the trip :)
Wonderful tearooms. Amazing selection of teas. Good variety of tasty sandwiches, soup or hot light lunches. Great choice of home made cakes. Very friendly prompt service and a lovely atmosphere here. Have visited many a time and taken friends, always happy with the experience.
Having read the previous reviews, I feel rather disappointed at my visit. Upon arrival, the establishment was full of staff, and yet we, along with other customers were left waiting at the door for seating. Once finally seated, continued to wait for service. There were clearly enough staff, however there appeared to be a clear lack of direction. The tea was good, food average at best. The person who appeared to be in charge appeared more preoccupied with putting her phone on charge then noticing we were ready to pay. In the end I had to push the issue. I would say clearly an off day judging by the other reviews. I also don't understand why sultanas were hidden in the salad. Personally I think they are quite disgusting anyway, but it was odd they were hidden.Please Peacock's tea room, you have a beautiful establishment, please try to up the game with service. You have plenty of staff for your size.
I came here with my family, and we had an excellent time. There were 9 of us total with two children, and they were able to accommodate us wonderfully. The tea and food was delicious - I bought a bag of the Black Witch tea to take home to the US. I would recommend this tea room to everyone. But get there early - as we were leaving there were loads of people waiting outside to get in.
